NEW YORK MEET DRAWS CAPACITY CROWD
The New York Steam Engine Association wound up its 2nd successful year with an attendance of over 30,000 at their "Pageant of Steam". The addition to having over 20 large traction engines in operation, there were dozens of portable and stationary engines, an unusually large collection of gas engines plus a tent full of models. The four days saw endless demonstrations of threshing, plowing by steam, sawmill operation and other events.
The election of 1963 officers was held at the Annual Fall Meeting with the following results: Wallace Wood, President
Lester Norris, Vice-President
Bruce Kelley, Secretary
Ogden Miller, Treasurer
Abram Johnson, Glenn Orbaker, Everett Blazey, Melvin Fellows, Robert Marshall, R. Dayton Nichols, Homer Prudom Jr., Robert Stickler and George VanNattaall Board Members.
