# Picture 01 John Best trade card

Front and back of a c. 1880 John Best trade card in the Whistles in the Woods collection. Note that Frank F. Landis (of Geiser Manufacturing Co. fame) was plant superintendent.

Way back in our September/October issue in 1978, we did an article about John Best's engine company, which was located in Lancaster, Pa., home of Stemgas. We are grateful to subscriber Robert Johnson of Whistles in the Woods museum, Chickamauga, Georgia.
