Way back in our September/October issue in 1978, we did an article about John Best's engine company, which was located in Lancaster, Pa., home of Stemgas. After that, some readers sent us some additional Best material which, unfortunately, we never published. We have now gathered together some of those odds and ends on this page. We are grateful to subscriber Robert Johnson of Whistles in the Woods museum, Chickamauga, Georgia.
